Veteran Property Tax Exemption — Maryland
Maryland's full property-tax exemption for 100% service-connected, permanent-and-total disabled veterans — dwelling and yard, applied for through SDAT.
How it works
Maryland offers a FULL exemption from state and local real property tax on the dwelling house and surrounding yard for veterans whom the VA has determined to be 100% service-connected, permanent and total (P&T) disabled. Disabled active-duty service members may also qualify. The exemption generally extends to the surviving spouse. | Item | Maryland |

Every one of these programs hinges on a VA service-connected rating. If you have not filed a claim, that is the starting point — a free, VA-accredited VSO (DAV, American Legion, VFW) will file it for you at no cost. A higher rating unlocks not just property-tax relief but healthcare, income benefits, and — for business owners — SDVOSB contracting eligibility. - Maryland Dept. of Veterans & Military Families — Tax Exemptions: https://veterans.maryland.gov/benefits-services/tax-exemptions/ - Maryland SDAT — Homestead Tax Eligibility / Exemption applications: https://dat.maryland.gov/Pages/default.aspx
